Cochrane-Nelson
House Museum
Much of Marquette Countys past has been captured and preserved at the Marquette County Historical Society Museum in Westfield, Wisconsin. Three buildings are dedicated to local history. The stately two-story Cochrane-Nelson House, built in 1903 with high ceilings and filigree woodwork is furnished with antiques and collectibles. The house sits on land once owned Robert Cochrane, who settled on the property about1850. Members of the Nels Nelson family lived in the house more than 70 years until the Cochrane-Nelson property became the Marquette County Historical Society Museum in 1979. |
