Tech – Admin Fiscal
Team
Marquette County is seeking applicants for a
full-time Accounting Tech – Admin Fiscal Team for the Marquette County
Administration. This
position will be shared between the Highway Office and the
Administration Office and is under the general supervision of the County
Administrative Coordinator.
This position is responsible for maintaining the financial accounts and
records for Marquette County.
This position performs a variety of accounting, budgeting,
auditing, payroll, and clerical functions as delegated by the
Administrative Coordinator.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include,
but are not limited to:
Responsible for following generally accepted accounting procedures and
County financial policies in daily accounting functions and procedures.
Assist with preparation and approval process of accounts payable
vouchers and schedule of vouchers for the appropriate committee
approvals. Assist with
preparation, printing, and distributions of accounts payable checks.
Assist with preparation of general journal entries, budget
entries, and wire transfer journal entries. A complete job description

An Associate degree in
accounting, Finance or related field of study from a college or
technical school.
Governmental accounting or related
experience preferred.
Salary for this position to be
commensurate with education and experience within the range $34,123 -
$43,429.

Full Time Veterans Service Officer, Marquette County
Marquette County, WI has an immediate vacancy for a full time County
Veterans Service Officer (CVSO).
This position will be responsible for administering and directing
the operations of the Veteran’s Service Office, providing advocacy and
assistance to Marquette County veterans and their dependents regarding
state and federal veteran’s benefits.
Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
investigates eligibility for a variety of veteran’s benefits,
counsels and assists veterans in filing benefit claims, acts as a
liaison between veterans and government agencies, develops and
implements emergency assistance for indigent and incapacitated veterans.
The successful applicant will have a Business or Associate Degree from
an accredited college, university, or technical school with a minimum of
two years of responsible office experience or equivalent combination of
education and experience, applicants must meet the requirements of a
veteran according to WI State Statute 45.01 and successfully complete
the written Veterans Service Officer test.
The salary for this position is $38,427 to $48,907 plus benefits
depending on experience.
