EMT- Basic or Advance EMT

Marquette County EMS is looking for professional and self-motivated EMT- Basic or Advance EMT for full-time employment. Marquette County EMS is continuing the process of transitioning from volunteer to a full-time service. Marquette County EMS responds to approximately 1600 emergency calls a year out of three stations providing ALS service to the county and two townships in Adams County. The full-time position will be on a rotating schedule.  Successful applicants will undergo an interview process.

Qualifications: Current AHA CPR and valid WI driver’s license. Current State of WI EMT license with minimum of two years’ experience.

Starting pay is $12.13/hr with full benefits package working a 48hr work week.

Conservation Engineering Technician

The Marquette County, Land & Water Conservation Department is looking for a Conservation Engineering Technician.  This is a full-time, permanent position located in our Westfield WI Office.  This person in this position will provide technical support to the Marquette County Land & Water Conservation Department and provide professional assistance to property owners regarding soil and water conservation practices with emphasis in Engineering.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, conservation, agriculture or a related field; or a two year technical college Associate’s degree in natural resources, conservation, agriculture or a related field.  Minimum three years of soil and water conservation experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.

Salary range is from $41,961 - $56,771 based on experience and qualifications.  Marquette County also offers an attractive benefit package.

 Marquette County Highway Department

WINTER SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT

WINTER SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT:  Snow Plow Operator for seasonal positions with Marquette County Highway Department.   Requirements:  High School Diploma or equivalent + 2 yrs. experience/training with some type of snow plowing.  Requires valid WI Driver’s License with Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License, with air brake endorsement.   $17.82 per hour, depending on qualifications.   WINTER SEASON ONLY (November to April).

HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER

MARQUETTE COUNTY, WI

This position is under the direction of the County Highway Committee and the Marquette County Board and directs all County highway operations related to construction, repairs, snow removal and overall maintenance of roads and bridges. 

Duties include; directing highway projects and personnel in the construction, repair and maintenance of County highways; develop and administer the County highway budget; work with state and federal agencies to maximize road funding; prepare and submit estimates to county and township boards for proposed road projects, and manage all highway equipment and materials including purchases, repairs, maintenance, usage, and inventories.   

Required: a High School diploma and five years of experience in highway maintenance, construction, and snow removal operations, including three years of supervisory experience.  A two or four year degree in engineering, business, or finance and accounting is preferred.  Salary range of $64,856 to $76,301 plus benefits is negotiable based on qualifications.
